Background
Crescode Group BV is a Dutch backend PHP consultancy with senior-level experience building production systems that handle real workloads. We serve clients across the EU from our base in the Netherlands.
Our focus is narrow by design: PHP backends using Laravel and Symfony, REST API design and implementation, and MySQL / PostgreSQL database engineering. We don't try to be a full-stack generalist shop. Backend work, done properly, is what we do.
The clients who get the most value from an engagement are engineering managers and CTOs who need backend work done to a senior standard — and done once, correctly — without spending senior engineering time managing a junior contractor.

Working style
Pragmatic, not dogmatic. We follow established patterns because they work, not because they're fashionable. If a simpler solution solves the problem, we'll use it and explain why.
Documentation where it matters. Not every function needs an essay, but every architectural decision should have a written rationale. We document the things that will be opaque to the next developer in six months.
Testing strategy agreed upfront. Coverage targets, what gets unit-tested versus integration-tested, and what gets left to manual QA — all agreed before the first line of code is written.
Clear milestones. Work is broken into deliverable chunks with defined outputs. You know what's happening and when. There are no surprise status updates.
Direct communication. If there's a problem, or a decision that needs input, we raise it immediately. We don't manage upwards to avoid difficult conversations.
Hourly engagement
Suitable for ongoing development work, maintenance, architecture reviews, and engagements where scope evolves. Time tracked and reported weekly.
Minimum commitment: typically one day per week.
Fixed-scope discovery
A time-boxed discovery engagement that produces a detailed technical specification and effort estimate for a defined project. Suitable before committing to a larger build.
Typical duration: 2–5 days. Output: written specification + estimate.
